Quick Review: Viridian Pinot Noir

US, OR, Willamette Valley, Viridian, Pinot Noir, 2010
+ // Spicy, (Smooth finish) // Strawberry // Cherry, oak // Light

This wine was exactly what we expected from a Pinot Noir: light bodied with strong fruit notes, with just a hint of added complexity. It made it perfect for pairing with a range of meal options, and ideal for just enjoying a glass by itself, to end a long work day.

  1. Was this Oregon Pinot Noir earthy? That's what I have found to be a typical characteristic of Pinots from that area.

  2. We've found a lot of the Oregon Pinot Noirs to be fruity. I'd say the earth notes were a little more pronounced in this one, creating a smoother, more balanced flavor.
