This wine was exactly what we expected from a Pinot Noir: light bodied with strong fruit notes, with just a hint of added complexity. It made it perfect for pairing with a range of meal options, and ideal for just enjoying a glass by itself, to end a long work day.
Was this Oregon Pinot Noir earthy? That's what I have found to be a typical characteristic of Pinots from that area.
ReplyDeleteWe've found a lot of the Oregon Pinot Noirs to be fruity. I'd say the earth notes were a little more pronounced in this one, creating a smoother, more balanced flavor.
